I have no fishing news to report. I will take this time to talk about beach driving. We had a customer to get stuck yesterday in KDH and had to call a tow truck. That is an expensive ride.
To begin with, take your tires down to 25 lbs. You can drive in Corolla north and south of the gate in off season, only north in season starting May 1st. You cannot drive in Kitty Hawk or Southern Shores at anytime. You can drive in KDH from Oct to May the 1st. You can drive on the beach in Nags Head from Oct to May if you purchase a Nags Head sticker for $25.00. But you can’t drive all of Nags Head so watch your signs on the beach. You can drive our National Parks if you have a permit. A yearly permit is $120.00 and weekly is $50.00. The Nat Park Service is closing certain areas for nesting Plovers under the federal Endangered Species Act. Watch your signs. Park Service will fine motorist and can cost up to$150.00. The Park Service and the environmental groups say we will be protecting endangered birds and turtles.
The wind is WNW at 11 and the water temp is 38 degrees.
