We have high winds and rough water. The wind is NW at 26 and gusting at 40. The water temp is 42 degrees. The wind chill is 24 degrees. Once this day is over, weather will improve. Jennette’s pier reported dogfish caught yesterday. A fishing buddy spent the weekend in Ocracoke and caught 26 Puppies.

Pirates Cove had a mixture of fish yesterday, catching Blackfin, Yellowfin and a citation Wahoo. One of the private boats caught a 91.5 in Bluefin. Oregon Inlet brought in a 400 lb Bluefin. The Puppy Drum bite picked up a little on the south beaches. A few were caught at the cape and ramp 49.

Friday, March 21, 2014

The Puppy Drum were back again on the south beaches. Cape Point, Buxton, and Frisco reported Drum. Oregon Inlet was able to sail again. They had Bluefin releases up to 450 lbs. Two 100 lb Bluefins were brought back to the docks. Blackfin was also caught. It is a nice day on the Outer Banks.
