Surf fishing was good on both sides of the bridge yesterday. One very small slough only big enough for 4 people to fish it, produced 12 keeper Drum at Oregon Inlet. Buddy Branner also caught a 23 in Black Drum in the same hole. (Picture of Drum. Nice foot).
Charters had a great day catching Bluefin. They caught and released a good number ranging from 82 to 100 inches.
Drum fishing continues to be good for the boaters in the sound.
Avalon Pier is catching Puppy Drum as we speak. (8:20 am). OBX Pier has Croakers, Blow toads and Sea Mullet. Nags Head Pier have plenty of blow toads.
The wind is SW at 9 and the water temp is 53 degrees. Finally, in the 50’s.
