Only a few people fishing the piers this morning. It’s early. OBX pier reported good fishing on Wednesday afternoon. They had a good Drum bite and everyone caught their limit. The Drum were right in the surf. Jennette’s pier has 1 Drum this morning.
Surf fishing should be good today on the southern end of our beaches, especially Oregon Inlet. Cape Point had Drum yesterday. There were a variety of fish caught on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.
They are dredging the inlet. Maybe the charters will be on the move soon.
Bobbie Johnson caught an 18 Flounder in Collington Harbor. She said it was the first of the season and she is super excited about what is to come. Her bait of choice was a jig head and gulp.
