The piers had a good run of Blow Toads yesterday. Jed & Raymond Williamson caught their share of Toads fishing Nags Head pier. One angler caught 17 Sea Mullet from OBX pier. A 40 in Red Drum was lost in the pilings on Jennette’s Pier. Avalon Pier caught good amount of Sea Mullet on Tuesday. Lots of grass this morning and the water is rougher than yesterday with this SE wind. Jed & Raymond Williamson caught their share of Toads fishing Nags Head pier. They sent a picture.
The Little Bridge caught some Blow Toads, Sea Mullet and Spot yesterday later in the day. Slow this morning.
Charters caught a few Yellowfin, some Dolphin and Mako. A 380+lb Bluefin was released.
Nearshore boaters caught Dogfish.
The Lighthouse jetties reported Puppy Drum. Ramp 49 caught Specks, Sea Mullet and Flounder. Buxton had Bluefish. On our beaches north of Oregon Inlet, I have only heard of Blow Toads.
The wind is SE at 14 and the water temp is 54 degrees.
