All the piers caught plenty of Drum all day yesterday. Bluefish is the fish of the day. Avalon has nice size Bluefish. Bluefish are plentiful on Nags Head pier. Some 18 in. Bluefish reported on Jennette’s pier. Every one catching with got-cha plugs. OBX Pier has bottom fish, Sea Mullet, Spot and a few Drum today.
Bluefish are also there for the surf fishermen. I heard of a 12 pounder caught in KDH. I also heard Mike Giles had a good bite in Ocean Sands. He caught a 23 in Drum yesterday. We now know there are Drum north of Duck. They are catching a smorgasbord south of the Bridge. Big Pompano reported in the Buxton area.
The offshore fleet caught Dolphin, Tilefish and Yellowfin. They also released a Sailfish and White Marlin.
The Little Bridge had its first bottom fish along with Stripers and Trout this morning.
The wind is NE at 15 and the water temp is 57 degrees.
