Surf Fishing Report:
We had us a nice little squall line move across the OBX this morning between 6-7am. It’s always nice to have our plants watered early! Winds will be light out of the WSW at 5. Sun should come out soon and make for a beautiful day. Fishing was slower yesterday due to cold water temps. Skates seemed to show up everywhere. Still heard of some nice catches of puppy drum, sea mullet and spot. South of Oregon Inlet reported some nice pompano, black drum, blues and puppy drum.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway had anglers hooking up with spot, croaker, black drum and small specks.
Sound charters are having fun with sea mullet, croaker, flounder, some puppy drum and speckled trout.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: SKATE and few spot and sea mullet. Water temp is 54. Still pretty COLD!
Nags Head: No one fishing due to am storms. Water temp is 54.

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Cobia have seemed to move south in search of warmer water. They’ll be back up our way soon. Nearshore boat are still catching lots of Spanish and blues. Inshore boats having a great time catching puppy drum, small flounder, Spanish and blues. Sheepshead around the Oregon Inlet bridge.
Offshore Boats Report:
Pretty electric this morning. Hope all boats make it out past the lightning and thunder safely! Charters that fished yesterday brought in some nice dolphin and gaffers. Yellowfin tuna, citation Bigeye tuna and white marlin releases made offshore anglers pretty happy. Hatteras reported some of the same plus blackfin tuna, wahoo, and several billfish releases. The Big Rock Marlin Tournament out of Morehead started Monday. “Inspiration” is still leading with their 754.3 pounds blue marlin. Making those other guys sweat!
