Surf Fishing Report:
It’s Saturday! That’s gonna make everything good. A little overcast this morning with winds out of the NNW at 10-15 shifting to NE. Water temps should warm up quickly and water clear. Bluefish and Spanish will be chomping. Fishing action was good on the Lucky 13th. North beaches to Corolla reported some nice sea mullet, croaker, few black drum, puppy drum and bluefish. Oregon Inlet is still producing some nice keeper puppy drum, small flounder and sea mullet. South beaches reporting spot, croaker, blues, pompano, black drum and sea mullet. Bloodworms and fresh shrimp will do the trick!

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported some small speckled trout and flounder. Sound charters and head boats had some action with puppy drum, speckled trout, small flounder and croaker.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Sea mullet. Water temp is 63.
Nags Head: Sea mullet. Water temp is 64.
Jennette’s: Puppy drum, sea mullet and sand perch. Water temp is 60.

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Nice catches of cobia, Spanish and bluefish. Nearshore boats added a little extra action with amberjack and some dolphin. It was a good day for most boats.

Offshore Boats Report:
Another amazing day for the offshore gang! Yellowfin tuna was the hit of the gulfstream. There were also some bonus gaffers, Bigeye tuna and billfish releases. Hatteras boats had fun with limits of dolphin, some blackfin tuna, wahoo, and an assortment of toothy critters including duskys, tigers and bulls. Wreck/bottom trips had nice catches of sea bass and triggers.
The Big Rock Marlin Tournament out of Morehead started Monday. “Inspiration” is still leading with their 754.3 pounds blue marlin.
