Surf Fishing Report:
Smoking Hot today! Weather especially but hopefully fishing too. West wind at 15 with temps into the 90’s. North beaches to Corolla are still having a blast with big black drum, puppy drum, big sea mullet and spot. South of the Inlet surf anglers are pulling in some pompano, sea mullet, croakers, flounder, spot and a cobia landed from the beach in Hatteras! Oregon Inlet fisherman reported good blues, sea mullet, croaker and some flounder. Oregon Inlet bridge is still holding some huge sheepshead. Several citations weighed in. Sunscreen and water is a must today! You don’t want to look like fried flounder belly.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported some small speckled trout.
Sound charters and head boats are still bring in some nice croaker, spot, puppy drum and few specks.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spot, blues, Sea mullet and croaker. Water temp is 72.
Nags Head: Sea mullet, spot, Spanish and blues. Water temp is 70.
Jennette’s: Blues and skate. Water temp is 71.
Outer Banks: Finfish smorgasbord! Sea mullet, speckled trout, blues, Spanish, triggers, spade and flounder. I’m not sure if that was the menu at Fish Heads or what was actually caught. 😉  Water temp 75.

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Nearshore boats are still loadin up on Spanish and blues. Nice catches of cobia.
Inshore boats having fun with puppy drum and some speckled trout.
Headboats reported sea mullet, flounder, spot, croaker, pinfish and pigfish.

Offshore Boats Report:
Yellowfin action is still awesome. Good catches of dolphin, tile and few billfish releases. Couple of charters brought in bigeye tuna with one weighting 225 pounds. Hatteras Inlet charter boats had great catches of dolphin, some yellowfin tuna and tilefish. Also sailfish and white marlin releases.
