Surf Fishing Report:
TW’s John Newbold reported a good Drum bite at ramp 4, plus Sea Mullet. There are scattered Bluefish and Spot. South of the bridge, surf fishermen beached some Spot, Bluefish, Sea Mullet and Drum.
The wind is SW this morning at 11 and the water temp is 63 degrees. We have had SW winds for several days I am ready for a switch so the water will get back to a summer temperatures.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout and bottom fish. Had a few nice Trout yesterday. One was 21 inches.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spot and Mullet.
Nags Head: Blues, Spanish, Spot and Croaker.
Jennette’s: Sea Mullet and Croaker.
Outer Banks: A few bluefish, Croaker and Spot. 68 degrees.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
The inshore boats caught Puppy Drum, Trout and big Cobia. The nearshore anglers had another good day catching Spanish and Blues.
Offshore Boats Report:
The boats had to stay at the docks yesterday. Strong SW wind. They should get out today.
