Surf Fishing Report:
Surf fishing was slow yesterday. I predicted good Bluefish catches, but it did not happen. So what do I know? A few Sea Mullet were caught. South of the inlet there were Sea Mullet and Pompano.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a few small Trout, slow
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Blues and Triggers.
Nags Head: Blues, Spanish and Blues.
Jennette’s: Bluefish, Sea Mullet and Spot.
Outer Banks: Blues, Spanish, Spot and a 23 in Drum.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Nearshore boats had a crackerjack day catching Cobia, big Red Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Amberjack. Some of the boats caught Dolphin. Miss Oregon Inlet caught Sea Mullet, Flounder, Spots and Croaker.
Offshore Boats Report:
Offshore boats had a nice Dolphin catch and Yellowfin Tuna. And Wahoo fishing was outstanding with citations caught. There were a few Sea Bass and Tilefish also caught.
