Surf Fishing Report:
Bottom fish north of the inlet. It was slow also for the south beaches. They had bottom fish with some Spanish added in the Buxton area.
This is exciting. At 7; 45 on Tuesday, Mike Walworth caught a Red Drum, estimated at 30+lbs and 40+ inches. He was using 7′ rod. 12 lbs test. 20lb fluorocarbon river rig. No. 2 hooks. Cut frozen finger mullet bought from TWs. 20 min to land. He was fishing the Corolla Light beaches. Glad to get such exciting news from Mike. Nothing like the sport of catching a whopper fish with a small rod.
The wind is SW at 13 and the water temp is 58 degrees. Grassy water. The wind is going to come around N tomorrow. Will be better fishing.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout and a few striper releases this morning.

Nags Head: Blues and Spot. Water temp 60.
Jennette’s: Bluefish and Sea Mullet. Water temp 62 degrees.
