Surf Fishing Report:
North and South caught bottom fish yesterday. The wind switched last night and the water has cleared. Fishing should pick up considerably today.
The wind is N at 8. The water temp is 66 degrees.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout, Stripers, Croakers and caught keeper Flounder Wednesday.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish and small Spot.
Nags Head: Blues, Spot and Croaker.
Jennette’s: Croaker, Spot and Sea Mullet.
Outer Banks: Blues and a good run of Spot early morning.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Despite the early morning rain, nearshore boaters caught Spanish, Bluefish, Spot, Trout and Croakers. The insure anglers decked Trout and released Rockfish. Miss Oregon Inlet caught their usual Flounders, Sea Mullet and Croakers.
Offshore Boats Report:
Oregon Inlet braved the high seas and morning lighting and caught some nice Yellowfin and Dolphin.
