Surf Fishing Report:
It’s overcast again today. Fishing is slow on the beaches north of the inlet. I got a message from Derrick King fishing the Corolla area. They are catching small Blues, throwback Flounder and Spot. Same everywhere. Down south anglers are beaching Sea Mullet, Spanish, Croakers, Spot and Blues
The wind is E at 11 and the water temp is 73 degrees. Water is choppy.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Croaker, no keeper Trout and Flounder
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: basically slow. Spanish, Bluefish and Sea Mullet.
Nags Head: Blues and Spanish.
Jennette’s: A small Cobia, 2 Ribbon fish, Bluefish and Sand Perch.
Outer Banks: Bluefish, Spot and lots of Rays. Ugg!
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Inshore boats are catching Drum and Specks. Nearshore Gray Trout, Spot, Sea Mullet and plenty of Spanish and Bluefish.
Offshore Boats Report:
It was a day for sport fishing. A total of 45 White and 7 Blue Marlin were released by Pirates Cove and Oregon Inlets offshore fleet. They also brought in Wahoo, Dolphin Yellowfin and Tilefish.
