Surf Fishing Report:
Surf fishermen are catching small Croakers, Sea Mullet and small Bluefish. An occasional Drum as did Graham Hobbs fishing in South Nags Head using cut mullet for bait. (Picture). South of the inlet have the same catch with Pompano and Flounder added.
The wind is NW at 7 and the water temp is 73 degrees. We have a flat ocean this morning.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Bluefish, Croaker and Black Drum. Remember, we have a new regulation on Black Drum this year. Black Drum- 14-24in 10/day. One Back Drum per person per day over 25” TL allowed.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish and small Cobia.
Nags Head: Blues, Spanish, Spot and Trout.
Jennette’s: Bluefish, Spot and Flounder. Water temp is 75 degrees.
Outer Banks: Bluefish, Spot and Flounder, one 17 in. Water temp is 74 degrees.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Nearshore anglers had a great fishing day on Tuesday. Amberjack, Spanish, Bluefish, Sea Mullet and Drum were caught. Pirates Cove Marina reported 7 citation Drum.
The inshore boats brought in Trout, Sea Mullet and Striper releases.
Offshore Boats Report:
Bluewater fleet brought in plenty of Dolphin, Yellowfin and Tilefish. There were a good number of White and Blue Marlin releases.
