Surf Fishing Report:
Croakers and Spot. The wind has switched to N this morning. The water is clearing and choppy. The water temp is 76 degrees.
Every so often I get a picture of a Sea Robin for identification. Shawn Leake caught this one fishing the little bridge.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Croakers, throwback Black Drum and small Trout.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: A couple of small Cobia, Spanish, Blues and Spot.
Nags Head: Spanish, Blues and Spot.
Jennette’s: Bluefish, Croakers and Triggers.
Outer Banks: Spot, Croakers and Mullet.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Another good day for the nearshore boats. Triggers, Amberjack, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Spot, Spanish and Flounder were brought to shore. The light tackle boats caught Drum, good catch of Trout and Cobia.
Offshore Boats Report:
The bluewater fleet reported scattered Yellowfin, Blackfin, Dolphin, Wahoo and Tilefish. Bill fishing was fair. There were 14 white, 1 Blue and 1 Sailfish releases.
