Surf Fishing Report:
How about this for surf news! Frank Cole beached a 71 1/2 lb, 56 ½ in long citation Cobia from the KDH surf. He was fishing ½ mile above Avalon Pier. He was using bunker for bait. Frank is from PA.
The fish was scarce during the weekend. There were a few Sea Mullet, Spot and small Pompano.
The wind is E at 9 and the water temp is 77 degrees.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a few Croakers this morning, slow all weekend.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spot, Bluefish and Pompano.
Nags Head: Slow
Jennette’s: Spot and Pigfish.
Outer Banks: Spot, Sea Mullet, Pompano and Bluefish. Water temp is 78 degrees.

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Inshore boats caught plenty of Puppy Drum and some keeper Flounder. The nearshore boats brought back Spanish and Blues.

Offshore Boats Report:
The boats fishing the Alice Kelly Bill Fishing Tournament were flying flags for 6 Blue Marlin, 48 White Marlin and 4 sailfish. Fishing tournament is dedicated to Alice Kelly who passed away from cancer and proceeds go to cancer fund.
The charters fishing for meat fish caught Yellowfin and Dolphin.
