Surf Fishing Report:
Fishing was good the weekend. People caught Drum and small Bluefish. The ocean has laid some today. The wind is NW at 8 this morning. The water temp is 73 degrees. It should be another good Drum day. I have a picture of Hunter Gordon fishing ramp 4 with his first Drum. Look at that face. Pure jubilation. That’s what makes my job fun. Glen Taylor also caught a Drum at the Inlet. I get a lot of Flounder out of Colington Harbor. Adrian Johnson caught a 17.5 in using a gulp jigging with slow retrieval.
I received my first hunting picture of the season from Colington Capt. Bill Daughtry. I was beginning to worry. He bagged an 8 pt deer bow hunting with former Dare County Resident Johnny Ghee in Gibsonville NC. 8 pt was 17 ” wide and 14 1/2″ tall. You know, we have a big hunting department in our store.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout and Croaker.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: One big Red Drum, 6 Puppy Drum from the wash. Surf Fishermen are catching from the wash down beside the pier.
Nags Head: Spot and a 5 ft White shark.
Jennette’s: Croaker and Pinfish.
Outer Banks: Sea Mullet.

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Oregon Inlet Marina had 3 boats fishing around the bridge. They caught Drum, Gray Trout, 70 lb Black tip Shark, small Cobia and plenty of Blues.

Offshore Boats Report:
The fleet stayed in Sunday again. The conditions are good for today. Not looking good for the week.
