Surf Fishing Report:
Another beautiful fall day on the sandbar. The wind is 13 and blowing NE. Water temp is 72 degrees. People are already on the beach and I also see a couple of ORV’s riding the beach in KDH. There were Drum, Sea Mullet and Trout caught from the surf yesterday. Drum are N of the inlet this morning. I just received a picture (8:45 AM) from TW’s John Newbold and Seth Rary with their Drum. Red Drum have been caught in Corolla. Lots of night fishing going on in Corolla. Julian Fodor caught a 48 in Red Drum from the Corolla surf.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported early morning Trout.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spot, Blues, Black Drum. A surf fisherman beside the pier caught a 26 in Drum on shrimp.
Nags Head: Spot, Croakers and Blues.
Jennette’s: Bluefish and spot.
Outer Banks: Sea Mullet, Spot, a nice Pompano and Blues. Lots of Grass. Lots of Drum yesterday later in the day. Look for Drum again when the tide comes in today.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Nearshore had good catches of Spanish, Blues and Amberjack. Inshore fleet decked plenty of Blues, Trout and Red Drum.
Offshore Boats Report:
The fleet had great catches on Tuesday. They filled their boxes with Yellowfin, Blackfin, Dolphin, Wahoo, and Tilefish. Two boats out of the nine fishing caught and released 17 White Marlin.
