Surf Fishing Report:
Good Drum fishing in the Avalon Pier area yesterday. Plenty of small Trout, some sea Mullet and Black Drum were also caught from the surf. Don’t forget the regulation changed this year for Black Drum. Slot size14-24in 10/day. One Black Drum per person per day over 25” TL allowed
We have SW winds at 13 and the water temp is 68 degrees.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Loads of big Drum and can see the schools coming their way. Also Blues and Trout.
Nags Head: Bluefish Trout and Spot.
Jennette’s: Bluefish and Trout.
Outer Banks: Small Black Drum, Sea Mullet and Trout.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Fishing was good for inshore/nearshore. Blues were plentiful, Albacore, Gray Trout, Triggers and Sheepshead. Sound fishermen are catching Rockfish and Trout.
Offshore Boats Report:
Only one boat out yesterday. They certainly have bragging rights. They caught 10 Blackfin, 3 Yellowfin and 10 Wahoo.
