Surf Fishing Report:
Trout fishing is good this morning north of Avalon Pier and north of Nags Head Pier from the surf. Also a couple of Drum and a nice Flounder have been caught in KDH. Trout are best caught early at first light and late afternoon in clear water using grubs and soft plastic lures. If the water is muddy, you can catch with fresh bait and double bottom rigs. Speckle Trout prefer water temperatures from 65 to 75 degrees. Calm and clear water is ideal. Trout will bite any time during the day if the water is moving. You can keep 4/day, 14 in TL.
