It was a cold day on Saturday. A few Dogfish showed on the south beaches. James Mitchell caught a nice Drum on the 23rd. Shrimp was his bait. (Picture).
It has been tough winter for the offshore fleet this year. The Inlet has been temporarily closed to all with a draft greater than 2 feet. Last night TV news reported the inlet will be dredged this week.
We had a significant drop in temp again last night. The temp was in the high 20’s. The winds are NW at 19 and the water temp is 41 degrees.
I have been gone for several weeks and I am glad to be back writing the fishing report. The spring fishing season should be getting underway very soon. I want pictures and any fishing news you might like to share. Stay in touch. It has been a long winter.
