The Ocracoke fishing tournament is getting underway this morning. I wish everyone good luck.
Bluewater charters brought in good catches of Yellowfin, a few Dolphin, 2 Wahoo, and an Albacore on Thursday.
There was a report of Gray Trout and Bluefish caught inshore.
Yesterday was a beautiful day. The beaches south of the bridge caught Sea Mullet, and Blow toads. Hatteras and Frisco beached a few bluefish.
Surf fishing is still slow on the northern beaches. Sea Mullet and Blow Toads have been reported north of the Oregon Inlet Bridge. Parker Jones caught a 4 lb Bluefish in KDH using grub for bait.
Pier fishing is getting better every day.
Avalon: Sea Mullet and Puffers.
Nags Head: Slow this morning. Caught two 28 in Puppies late yesterday.
Jennette’s: Bluefish and Shad.
Outer Banks: Blues, Sea Mullet and Blow Toads.
We have calm N wind this morning and the water temp is 54 degrees.
