Surf Fishing Report:
Fishing was slow on the beach yesterday. Lots of sand blowing. A few bottom fish in the surf. Stephen Miller caught a Trigger fish from the surf.

Spadefish are showing up in our pier catches. Spadefish grow up to 36 in. No citations are given for Spadefish. Sometimes they are confused with Sheepshead and Black drum. They can be caught with tiny hooks and shrimp. I have never eaten Spadefish, but the guys at the store tell me it is a good fish for the table.
The wind is SE at 11 and the water temp is 65 degrees.

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout and Croaker.
