I received a picture from Joe White, one of our local surf fishermen. The picture was taken on the South side of the Inlet in front of the old Coast Guard Station. It certainly made my day.

Surf Fishing Report:
Another perfect beach day for the Outer Banks. Spot, Sea Mullet, Bluefish and Pompano scattered on the north beaches.
We have NW at 8 and the water temp is 79 degrees

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Rockfish, Trout, Flounder and 2 Puppy Drum.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spanish, Bluefish, Sea Mullet, and little Pompano, known as Pompettes.
Nags Head: Spot.
Jennette’s: Sand Perch and Pigfish.
Outer Banks: Pompano and an 18 lb False Albacore.

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Near shore boats reported plenty of Spanish, some Shark and Ribbonfish. Inshore also had good catches of Spanish, Ribbonfish and a Cobia. The Inlet boats are catching Bluefish, Spot, Gray Trout, Sea Mullet and Flounder.

Offshore Boats Report:
The Oregon Inlet fleet limited out on Dolphin again yesterday. They also added a few Wahoo and Yellowfin to the mix. Sport fishing was good with 2 boats reporting a grand Slam.
