Surf Fishing Report:
There were a few Trout and Bluefish north of the inlet. News is scarce. I have heard of big Drum at Ocean Sands this morning, but cannot confirm.
Avon Pier sponsored a Fish like a Girl Tournament for breast cancer. Brooke Manion won it with a 14 ¾ Bluefish. (Picture).
The winds are N at 15 and the water temp is 63 degrees.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported slow.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Sea Mullet.
Nags Head: Bluefish and Blow toads.
Jennette’s: Spot, Bluefish, Spot, Croaker, Gray Trout, Speckle Trout and a 44 in Drum.
Outer Banks: Blues, Sea Mullet, Puffers, Black Drum and a keeper puppy Drum.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Inshore boats caught a few sea Mullet, Puffers and Pigfish.
Offshore Boats Report:
High winds and rough water kept the fleet at the docks.
