A beautiful day on the Outer Banks. Fishing conditions are good today. It is a good day to wet a line.
I was told the fishing was great on Hatteras Island Yesterday. There were Drum, Sea Mullet, Black Drum, Blow Toads, Bluefish at the Jetties, and big Shark at the Point.
Oregon Inlet had one offshore boat fishing on New Year’s Eve and they brought home Blackfin Tuna, a Yellowfin and a nice size Wahoo. An Inshore boat decked plenty of catch and release Stripers.
Durand Beasley caught a Striper from the Kitty Hawk Bridge using Basnight bait. He may have received a new puppy for Christmas.

We have NW winds at 6 and the water temp is 58 degrees.
