Surf Fishing Report:
NPS has opened a path to the south side of the point. Fair warning. The sand is really soft and people are getting stuck. Spanish, Bluefish and Jack Crevalle were caught on lures on the south side. There are Bluefish, Sea Mullet and Pompano up and down on the Hatteras Island beaches. We have bad grass problems in Oregon Inlet and South Nags Head. With continuing SW winds and the beaches being so close to the sound you can expect it. Jim Clark sent a note saying S. Nags Head has had a problem since June no matter the wind or the tide. On the North end of our beaches there have been some small Bluefish and Pompano.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported bottom fish and an occasional small Trout.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Early morning Spanish.
Nags Head: Spanish and Sharks.
Jennette’s: Blues, Spanish and Pigfish.
Outer Banks: Few Bluefish off the end and Pompano up close.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Inshore Anglers had an awesome day catching Kings, Albacore, Spanish, Blues and releasing big Reds. Inshore there were some Cobia and Miss Oregon Inlet caught Sea Mullet, Sea Bass, Flounder and Pins and Pigs.

Offshore Boats Report:
Offshore boats reported Yellowfin, Mahi and Blackfin.

The winds are SW at 4 and the water temp is 79 degrees. Sunny, clean swells, calm winds.
