Fishing Report:
It was a nice spring day yesterday with it being a little warmer. Bluefish were plentiful on the Island with Sea Mullet and Pompano. Anglers were catching citation Sea Mullet and Pompano at ramp 48 & 49 plus Black Drum. Hatteras Village has also been a hot spot catching Pompano, Sea Mullet, Blues and citations Reds at the Inlet. Bluefish, Trout and Sea Mullet, a few Pompano are biting on our beaches.
Trout are everywhere in the sounds and Sheepshead around the bridges.
It was an impressive day for Big- eye Tuna weighing up to 113 lbs. The Yellowfin and Dolphin were not bad catches either. Nearshore anglers caught their limits of Tilefish bottom fishing. A 600 lb Blue Marlin was caught. Nearshore boats boats reported some Cobia,, Red Drum and Spanish yesterday.
The winds are SW at 10 and the water temp is 65 surface degrees. Sunny, light winds, calm Ocean.
