Fishing Report:
It is beautiful day on this sand bar. Looking at my surroundings this morning it is hard to believe a subtropical storm may visit us for the weekend at some point.
Hatteras Island has Bluefish, Pompano with some citations weighed in, and Sea Mullet. The Point reports red Drum biting every night with Spanish and Bluefish. On the north beaches ramp 4 has seen some Bluefish, Sea Mullet and scattered Trout. The same for Nags Head. Have not heard of any Pompano this far north.
Yesterday was a big Dolphin day for off shore with some Tuna. The Cobia bite has picked up and Drum and Trout are caught nearshore and inshore.
OBX Pier is open and so is Avalon. Avalon is catching Puppy Drum and Trout. OBX had a good run of Sea Mullet with some Spot and Bluefish.

The winds are SW at 9 and the water temp is 59 degrees. Sunny, light winds, small swells.
