TW’s Daily Fishing Report

We weighed in a couple Citations yesterday! A 96.3lb Wahoo caught by James Oleksa aboard the Laura T out of Pirates Cove! And a 2.2lb Sea Mullet caught from the surf!

Pier and surf fishing continues to be productive with Puppy Drum, Speckled Trout, Sea Mullet and a few Black Drum being caught here in the Nags Head area. The Big Drum made a nice showing at the point in Buxton the last few days with anglers landing multiple citation size fish on lures and bait. There have been good catches of Bluefish, Puppy Drum, Sheepshead, Sea Mullet, and a few big Pompano for the surf fishing anglers to our south around Hatteras.

Inshore boats are reporting good Puppy Drum fishing with a few very large schools of fish being seen around the inlet.

Today is the first day of Cobia Season so I expect we will see a few pictures from the nearshore fleet this afternoon.

Offshore boats continue to see good Yellowfin fishing, with a few Wahoo and Dolphin in the mix
