The Cobia are here! We received several reports of excellent cobia fishing yesterday out of Oregon Inlet. Even some reports of them around the piers! We have live eels and a great selection of Bowed Up Lures and Meat Hog Fishing Bucktails. If you weren’t able to get out yesterday, you’ll have to hold tight patiently for a few days for this blow to pass.
Piers and Surf north of Oregon Inlet continue to be productive with Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Speckled Trout, and a few Spanish Mackerel. Surf fishing down south around the point was good yesterday with reports of Big Drum, Spanish Mackerel, 3-5lb Bluefish, a handful of nice Pompano, and Sea Mullet.
Inshore Boats and Kayak Anglers are still having good Puppy Drum fishing and a few big Trout inside the inlet.
The Offshore Fleet continues to have good Catches of Dolphin and Kings, with scattered Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna.
