The Cobia showed back up in a big way yesterday. We had reports of some boats landing over 20 fish! Yesterday Donald Nicholson took his wife Angela fishing and she caught her first ever fish, a nice 3lb Bluefish. Soon after, Donald landed not 1, but 2 Cobia from the beach!
Inshore boats and Kayak anglers are experiencing some of the best sound fishing the Outer Banks has to offer right now! There has been some excellent drum fishing in the sound, as well as some absolute monster Speckled Trout being caught!
Surf and Pier fishing has been a little slow on the north beaches with the colder ocean temps. There has been a few Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Croaker, Black Drum, and Skates being caught. To the south however surf fishing has been decent with some Big Drum still being caught around Hatteras.
Offshore fishing has been pretty good this week with limits of Gaffer Dolphin, and a good showing of Yellowfin Tuna yesterday.
