TW’s Daily Fishing Report

Tuesday, May 24th 2022

As the rainy weather sets in this afternoon we can reminisce on how good the fishing has been the last few days! It’s hard to say what has been better, the Tuna fishing offshore, or the Cobia fishing just off the beach.

The offshore fleet has had excellent Tuna fishing the last few days with many boats catching their limits and getting back to the dock in time for an early lunch! The Hatteras fleet saw decent catches of Dolphin and even had a few Billfish releases yesterday.

The Cobia fishing continues to be very good as long as conditions allow. Yesterday was one of those days where the fish seemed to be everywhere. Quentin Turko went out on his Kayak yesterday and was able to land three nice sized fish!

Sound side anglers are still seeing nice size Speckled Trout and scattered Puppy Drum. There has been a decent bite at the Little Bridge most mornings this past week.

Surf and Pier fishing has been improving as the water warms up. We have heard reports of Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Croaker, and Sheepshead.
