The good fishing continues here on the Outer Banks, we have had some tough conditions this week but it hasnt seemed to hurt the fishing! With the onshore winds today and tomorrow we expect the Spanish Mackerel fishing from the piers to be good this weekend. These winds should also push some cleaner water into the inlet around the Bonner Bridge Pier which will generally make for some good Sheepshead fishing!
Surf fishing has been decent this week when the wind allows it, anglers have seen decent catches of Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Pompano, Puppy Drum, and even a few Spanish Mackerel!
The Tuna Bite offshore of Oregon Inlet has heated back up with most boats catching their limit and heading home early! It also seems like a bigger class of fish out there this week. The Dolphin bite has remained steady to the south with some big Gaffer Dolphin being brought in.
The Billfish bite has been decent this week as well, which is good news with the upcoming Big Rock Tournament.
Inshore fishing has been a little more spotty this week, however the anglers that have found the fish seem to be finding good numbers of Drum and some better quality Trout!
