The Tuna bite offshore continues to be the headline as boats are still catching limits of Yellowfin Tuna daily, and even some large Big Eye Tuna have hit the dock! To the south boats are still finding big Gaffer Dolphin as well as limits of bottom fish. The weather looks good for this Father’s Day weekend! The wind switches out of the north tomorrow evening which should cool things off a little for the weekend. We expect the Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish bite will pick up this weekend on the piers as well as the Sheepshead fishing around the bridges with the forecasted onshore winds!
Surf Fishing has been very good the last few days with a lot of Sea Mullet and Puppy Drum being caught. Everett and Morgan Rutherford sent us pictures of a 1.5lb Sea Mullet and a nice Black Drum they caught out of the surf!
Inshore fishing has also been good, with some Big Speckled Trout and alot of nice keeper and overslot Drum being caught. If you don’t have a boat, and want to get in on the action, that is not a problem. There are plenty of places to launch a Kayak or even wade fish at that have been producing some quality fish!
