TW’s Daily Fishing Report

Lots of pictures sent to us over the weekend of some awesome catches! Ethan Church, from Wilkesboro NC, caught a pair of really nice Puppy Drum on Pea Island last week using fresh Mullet for bait! Surf fishing has been a little tough lately, but those who stick it out and find the right spots have been rewarded. Still plenty of Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, and Sharks around, and more Pompano have begun to show up in the last few days.

Sound side fishing continues to be good with lots of Puppy Drum on the flats, some anglers reported giant schools being spotted. Still a decent amount of Trout being caught, and it seems the big Speckled Trout continue to be brought in by the anglers using live bait.

The local piers are reporting Sheepshead, Sea Mullet, Spot, and small Bluefish. Down at the Bonner Bridge Pier there have been some big Sheepshead, Black Drum, and small Flounder.

Offshore has been a mixed bag the last couple of days. Some boats are catching limits of Tuna, while others are finding good numbers of Dolphin and some really nice Wahoo. Bottom Fishermen are reporting Amberjack, Triggerfish, and Tilefish.
