TW’s Daily Fishing Report

Sunday, August 14, 2022

Just got a report that the Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish have shown up at the piers this morning! Stop in and grab some Got-cha plugs and head out there! With the onshore winds the last couple days the ocean temps have risen to 75°, which should make for some decent fishing from the Piers and the Surf.

One of our awesome customers, Lawrence Benner, came in last night to weigh a monster Speckled Trout. Just 2 days after sending us the picture of his family with a 6 man limit of some nice size Specks, Lawrence weighed in this massive 30 inch 6.58lb Speckled Trout (pictured below). Congratulations on joining the 30in Club Lawrence! There are plenty of Trout and Drum to be had on the soundside this time of year if you put your time in.

Offshore fishing has been a grind for a lot of boats. There are still a few Tuna around along with scattered Dolphin, Wahoo, and a handful of Billfish. Good luck to all the Lady Anglers fishing the Alice Kelly and the boats fishing the Pirates Cove tournaments this week. If you need anything to get rigged up, stop in and see us!
