We have had some great fishing to start the week, lots of really nice fish being caught! We have a front with some stronger NE winds starting today and lasting through Saturday evening that may put a damper on Surf fishing. However, we are hopeful this front will stur up some Big Drum on the piers. That being said, if you need some fresh Mullet stop in and see us!
Soundside fishing has been very productive this week, with lots of Puppy Drum on the flats around the inlet, some Big Flounder, and limits of Speckled Trout. Some anglers are still managing to find the Big Drum back in the sound, and after this front that should only get better!
The Pier fishing has been good this week so far. Anglers live bait fishing on the ends of the piers have seen a decent amount of King Mackerel and a couple Cobia. There has been plenty of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish on Got-cha Plugs, and those bottom fishing have had good luck with Flounder, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Pompano, Croaker, and Pigfish.
In the Surf we are getting reports of Puppy Drum, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sea Mullet, Croaker, Big Stingrays, and plenty of Sharks.
Offshore has been a little slow, however some boats are still managing good catches. We have seen some nice catches of Tuna, Small Dolphin, Wahoo, and a decent amount of Billfish Releases. Everyone is hopeful this front is the one we need to push the White Marlin down to us and mix things up offshore.
