TW’s Daily Fishing Report

Saturday, September 10, 2022

The last couple of days have been off the charts for Drum fishing on the Outer Banks piers! From Avalon to Avon and all the piers in between, there has been a bunch of Big Drum caught and released! The best part about it is, this is just the beginning. Fresh Mullet has been the bait of choice and we have plenty of it. We also have all the rods, reels, rigs, and heavy sinkers! If you need help getting rigged up to go try your hand at catching one of these trophy sized fish, stop by the shop and talk to our knowledgeable staff!

Soundside, fishing has been steady with more Big Drum, Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum, and Flounder. If pier fishing isn’t for you, and the surf is too rough, now is the time to give sound fishing a shot.

As the wind begins to lay out and the swell lays down over the next day or so, we expect Surf Fishing and Offshore fishing to pick back up!
