TW’s Daily Fishing Report

Sunday, September 11, 2022

Great fishing continues here on the Outer Banks! Drum are all over the place, from the surf, the sound, and the Piers. There are plenty of Speckled Trout and Flounder in the sound, and we are hoping offshore fishing will be very good once the fleet gets back at it!

Down on the Bonner Bridge Pier there are still some monster Sheepshead being caught, we weighed an 8.2 lb citation last night caught by Bryant Cooper. There has also been plenty of Drum, Bluefish and Flounder from the old Bridge.

Surf fishing has begun to pick up as the swell starts to lay down. Puppy Drum, Big Drum, and Bluefish near Oregon Inlet. Down south we have heard reports of Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sea Mullet, Drum, and Pompano.

Big Congratulations to shop employee Maggie and her team the Queen Mackerels won first place women’s team in the Hatteras Village Surf Fishing Invitational tournament this week! They caught Bluefish and Sea Mullet!

Soundside remains steady with plenty of Slot Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Big Drum.

Today marks the start of the TWs Coastal Tournament Series, so stop on by and get signed up! Last night we received our first submission for the Red Drum tournament, a 39 inch fish caught at 12:11am by Dave Rasmussen! Just a reminder to all anglers participating in the Red Drum tournament all photos must clearly show the entire fish, on the bump board provided, with the tournament card visible. Fish will be scored to the nearest 1/4 inch Total Length!
