ednesday Fishing Report
Soundside continues to produce good catches of Speckled Trout and Puppy Drum. Anglers fishing the grass flats and marsh lines have had success catching decent size Trout on artificials. Surprisingly there are still some Sheepshead around near the bridges and other structures in the sound!
In the surf we have received reports of Big Drum up near Duck, down around the inlet, and down south from Ramp 38 to the point. The Bluefish bite has continued to be excellent south of Oregon Inlet all the way down to Ocracoke. Here in town we have received reports of Puppy Drum, Speckled Trout, Sea Mullet, and Spot in the surf.
The Piers are still seeing decent numbers of Big Drum and Puppy Drum. Hopefully they stick around a few more weeks. We have plenty of Fresh Cob Mullet in stock for those that want to go give it a try! This morning Jennettes Pier is reporting Bluefish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Puffers, Croaker, Sea Mullet, and Spot!
Nags Head Pier is reporting Speckled Trout, Bluefish, and Black Drum.
Not much to report from offshore, we heard of some Kings and Blackfin out of Hatteras, and some early reports of Yellowfin out of Oregon Inlet.
