We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Don’t forget to stop by the shop this weekend and see us for our huge Thanksgiving Weekend Sale before you head out on the water!
In the Surf there has been plenty of action. Anglers have reported good Speckled Trout fishing here in town with the calm conditions. We have also received reports of Puppy Drum, Bluefish, Puffers, Skarks, and some big Sea Mullet! Down south at the point there has been some Big Drum getting caught just about every night along with plenty of Big Sharks
.
The piers have had similar reports to the surf with Trout, Puppy Drum, Bluefish, and Sea Mullet. Down at the Bonner Bridge Pier, it sounds like anglers are still finding a few nice Sheepshead!
On the sound side, there has been a fair amount of Striper being caught around the bridges including some decent sized fish reported. There is still a fair amount or Puppy Drum and Trout around in the sound as well.
As expected, the Tuna bite offshore has been very good with boats catching limits of Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna, as well as a handful of Wahoo. The King Mackerel bite out of Hatteras has also pretty been good this week!
