Fishing Report
It was a gorgeous few days of sunshine and fishing! Hopefully we’ll have similiar conditions this weekend with lots of fish and lots of sunshine!
It’s that time of year that so many look forward to! COBIA! Sounds like they decided to make an appearance yesterday. A few special anglers got in the meat south of Hatteras and in Ocracoke!
The big Drum are out and about too with lots of nice catches inshore! Check out Lance Luke’s shot of a large group! He was also able to hook up to some too! @doacharters had a successful day with nice catches as well! Nothing beats a day on the water!
The Trout and Blues are also around near shore and in the sound! While the Trout continue to prefer artificials, the Bluefish have seemed to prefer fresh cut mullet. Devin Michael spent a beautiful afternoon in the sound catching Trout on Thursday! There have been good reports of Sea Mullet and Spot in the surf too.
The offshore fishing remains steady with great Dolphin fishing and Tunas! If our recent Ballyhoo sales have taught us anything it’s apparent y’all are headed offshore this weekend!
The Ocracoke Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament wrapped up today! While the fishing left something to be desired for most teams, other teams lucked out with nice scoring fish!
