Fishing Report
It’s been a productive few days of fishing with some fabulous offshore fishing for the 22nd Annual Dare County Boat Builders Tournament!
The offshore fishing was just as hot as the weather this weekend! Lots of Billfish were caught this weekend, with some boats catching a grand slam or two! Congratulations to @fishthepelican on their win! There were also reports of Mahi, Tuna, and Wahoo caught as well!
The surf fishing and pier fishing has also been productive! Anglers who were able to withstand the toasty temperatures caught Sea Mullet, Spot, Croaker, Pinfish, Pigfish, and Spanish. There were quite a few Pompano caught on the southern beaches as well. There are still some Sharks out there as well!
The inshore fishing continues to be great Trout fishing! There have also been reports of a few Sheepshead, Puppy Drum and Bluefish. The nearshore boats are still catching nice big Drum, Triggerfish, and Spanish. There are still some Cobia hanging around as well!
