UPDATE: Yesterday, May 22nd report did not load properly…sorry about the delay1
Cobia fishing continues to be excellent out of Oregon Inlet. It sounds like a nicer class of fish showed up yesterday with quite a few Citation size fish hitting the scales.
Surf and Pier fishing is beginning to pick up with Puppy Drum, Speckled Trout, Sea Mullet. Bluefish, and a few Large Striper being landed. Matt Kellam caught a 38 inch Striper while Jigging for Drum in the surf yesterday morning!
Inshore Boats and Kayak anglers are still having luck with big Speckled Trout and good Puppy Drum fishing around the marsh edges and grass flats near the inlet!
The offshore Fleet found the Tunas yesterday. We heard reports of boats back to the dock early with a nice limit of Yellowfin. There was also a handful of Billfish Releases yesterday, and it should only get better from here.
