Excellent fishing continues here on the Outer Banks. Inshore, nearshore offshore, surf, and even the freshwater Bass fishing has been good!
Offshore the Tuna have started to move pretty far north, but the boats that venture up there are filling the box. However as the Tuna move north the Dolphin and Billfish fishing has begun to heat up!
I know it sounds like a broken record but the cobia are still being caught from Virginia Beach all the way down to Hatteras. There have been some bigger fish being caught the last few days as we have weighed a citation cobia just about every day this week!
In the sound the Inshore boats and Kayakers have been seeing some very good drum fishing on the flats around the inlet as well as some decent flounder fishing. There has also been some big Trout being caught deeper in the sound around the marsh edges.
Surf and especially pier fishing has picked up a some with some nice Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, and even a 47lb Black Drum that was caught at Jennettes Pier earlier this week!
