Big Drum starting to show up in the sound around Oregon Inlet! Justin Stewart went out the other evening and caught a handful of nice sized Drum using fresh Mullet on the bottom. This time of year you will begin to see some larger Drum beginning to move in and out of the inlet.

Out at the Bonner Bridge Pier anglers are seeing decent catches of Bluefish, Puppy Drum, and a handful of nice Sheepshead when conditions are right. On the local ocean side Piers and in the Surf anglers are still struggling with upwelling. Cold ocean temps have resulted in a lack of fish, however folks fishing south of Oregon Inlet are having decent catches of Puppy Drum, Pompano, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and Sea Mullet.

The offshore fleet is still seeing steady fishing with a mix of Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, and decent bottom fishing. There have been some big Wahoo being caught this year, stop in and see us if you need to get rigged up to get in on the action!
