TW’s Daily Fishing Report

Plenty of fish to be caught out there right now! There has been reports of good drum fishing on the sound side and more big Trout being caught!

We were informed this morning that Cape Point in Buxton is now reopened! They have already been doing very well on Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish on metal, and plenty of Sharks on bait! On the north beaches, surf anglers are reporting Bluefish, Sea Mullet, Spot, Puppy Drum, and lots of small Croaker. Mike Donelley sent us a picture of a beautiful 37 inch Drum he caught from the surf on the north side of Oregon Inlet.

Piers are reporting Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Puppy Drum, and a TON of Small Croaker. There was also an 18lb King Mackerel caught at the Nags Head Pier yesterday!

Offshore continues to be a mixed bag with scattered Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna, and Billfish. There were quite a few Billfish releases on day one of the Pirates Cove Tournament yesterday, good luck to everyone fishing these next couple days!
