TW’s Daily Fishing Report

Saturday, December 3, 2022

The Tuna bite offshore was very good for those who went yesterday, boats had limits of both Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna. Captain Chris Gornell of the Fin Planner had the box topped off and was back to the dock before lunch!

In the surf, anglers are still catching plenty of Sea Mullet, Croaker, Puffers, Black Drum, Dogfish, and a few Puppy Drum. Down south at the point there has still been a decent amount of Big Drum caught, as well as lots of Sharks…

In the sound around the bridges, anglers have been catching lots of Striper. We have heard reports of a few fish over 30 inches! Along with the good Striper fishing there has still been a decent amount of Puppy Drum and Speckled Trout on the sound side.

With most of the piers being closed for the season we haven’t received as many reports. However, Avalon and Jennettes remain open, and we have heard reports of Sea Mullet, Dogfish, and small Speckled Trout!
